Silence and focus, then a sharp sound, restart the speech. Papers leaving the notebook until I finally write the perfect crisis speech and waiting to present it. Then the next session another article and another speech. Then another and another, and another. Delegates, my name is Maria Hijazin and I would like to welcome you to this year’s crisis committee “REVEAL”. Where hours feel like minutes and your enemies, disguised as allies. Here, every word you write and every strategy you build has the power to shift the story.

The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR), known as REVEAL, is dedicated to uncovering truths and holding power accountable. We will be discussing the complaints on Boeing, looking into safety concerns and troubling patterns in the company’s decisions. During the conference the CIR will host several agencies who will try to resolve difficult situations and aim to reveal the inner workings of politics, biases and dishonesty.

As the stakes rise with each session, you’ll find yourself questioning motives, seeking hidden truths, and piecing together a story that refuses to stay still. And just when you think you’ve figured it out, the narrative will shift, the crisis will escalate, and you’ll be back where you started: with a pen in hand, a plan in mind, and the clock ticking.
